Win2008 R2 sharing violation while adding new mirror for existing boot disk volume

instructions @ 2 links below describe how mirror existing boot disk win2003 , win2008 respectively:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc783353%28v=ws.10%29.aspx

http://www.techotopia.com/index.php/mirroring_windows_server_2008_r2_gbt_and_mbr_boot_and_system_disks

both sets of instructions substantially same , both involve xcopy step copy create copy of efi files. however, numerous people (and me) have reported windows reports sharing violation when attempting this, on efi\microsoft\boot\bcd file. entire operation invalidated because of sharing violation.

how overcome please?

thanks much. first article cite helpful. couldn't use directly because doesn't seem cover gpt disks, main clue skip files, therefore used following robocopy syntax in place of xcopy syntax mentioned above:

robocopy.exe s:\ t:\ * /e /copyall /dcopy:t /xf bcd.* /xd "system volume information"

bypassing bcd files does, sharing violation avoided. presumably omitted files not needed - we'll see.
